Along with his six children, he has a $4 billion stake in chemical maker Mexichem, which is one of the largest makers of plastic tubes in the world with a market cap of $7.8 billion. Furthermore, he holds stakes in chemical distributor Grupo Pochteca, as well as serves as honorary chairman of a number of his companies while letting his children to take care for daily operations.
