When he was 13 years old he signed with Future Flow Entertainment and started writing and producing songs for other groups. He released the album Chapter 1 with fellow teen rapper Microdot under the name All Black in 2006. In 2014 he served as a judge for season three of the reality TV series Show Me the Money. Dok2 was nominated for Mnet Asian Music Awards for Best Rap Performance in 2015 and 2016.
