At the urging of Mexican actress Adriana Barraza, Mas studied drama and entered the world of a professional actress. She debuted on the sitcom The Cafeteria is Always Open. Her real break came in 2008 when she landed a role in a film by Carlos Cuarón, entitled Rudo y Cursi. Jessica Mas is also known for her roles in El Pantera (2007) and What Life Took from Me (2013).
