He was offered to take a part in the Temptations but the part went to his brother David instead. Jimmy’s debut studio album Jimmy Ruffin Sings Top Ten was released in 1967. His 11th album There Will Never Be Another You was released in 2012. Ruffin had success with the singles “What Becomes of the Brokenhearted”, “I’ve Passed This Way Before”, “Gonna Give Her All the Love I’ve Got”, and “Hold On (To My Love)”. Jimmy Ruffin passed away on October 17, 2014 at the age of 78.
