He has been a presenter for Channel 4 News since 2006 and for Unreported World since 2012. Guru-Murthy interviewed Robert Downey, Jr. in April 2015. Downey walked out of the interview after Guru-Murthy continued to ask him questions about his father and past drug abuse. Krishnan Guru-Murthy is married and has two children. His sister is BBC journalist Geeta Guru-Murthy.
