In 2009, Gordon was named by Utne Reader as one of “50 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World”. He owns Tower Research Capital LLC, a financial services firm he started in 1998. Gorton holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Yale University, a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard University. He initially worked as an electrical engineer for a branch of Lockheed Martin then went on to enter the world of fixed-income trading before going out on his own to launch The Lime Group of companies.
