Internationally, he played in 69 matches for France from 1998-2010, scoring 14 goals in 69 appearances and winning the 2001 FIFA Confederations Cup. Other club honors include the FA Cup with Arsenal in 1997-98 and with Chelsea in back to back years (2008-09 and 2009-10), and the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid in 1999-2000. Nicolas Anelka has also earned a number of individual honors, including a spot on the PFA Team of the Year in 1998-99 and 2008-09, the PFA Young Player of the Year award in 1999, the FA Cup Top Scorer that same year, and the Barclays Golden Boot in 2008-09.
