Six years later, the company was renamed into GEA Group, and the next year, Happel sold the rest of his shares for $630 million. Known as a passionate sailor, he is an owner of a yacht called Hetairos, and also, Happel has a luxury resort in the Seychelles, named Fregate Island. Moreover, he holds a foundation that supports development projects in the developing world.
