Between 1985 and 2014 he appeared in well over 40 films. Lang attended a Quaker boarding school (high school) in Newton, Pennsylvania and went on to graduate from Swarthmore College (a private liberal arts college in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania) in 1973 with a degree in English Literature. On May 30, 2010, he was awarded an Honorary Degree from College by his alma mater for his distinguished career in theatre, television and film. Lang has been married to costume designer Kristina Watson since June 1, 1980. Together they have four children.
